The 1965 Chevelle was in its second model year, and the Malibu sat near the top of the regular Chevelle lineup, offering attractive trim and a more upscale interior than the entry-level models. The restoration also included replacement of both rear fenders and conversion to front disc brakes, with drum brakes retained at the rear. A front sway bar has been added, and the undercarriage is clean, solid, and nicely painted. A new fuel tank was installed as part of the car’s improvements. The trunk compartment is exceptionally clean and solid, equipped with a trunk mat, full-size spare tire mounted on a factory steel wheel, and factory jack equipment. The car rides on 195/75R14 tires dating from 2020, mounted on steel wheels with factory Chevelle Malibu hubcaps in excellent condition.The white manual convertible top is in excellent condition and operates as it should. Included with the car are a matching convertible boot, a car cover as shown, and the original owner’s manual. The odometer stopped working before the current owner acquired the car in 2022, and the current owner has driven it fewer than 50 miles since purchase. Accordingly, the displayed mileage should not be interpreted as the car’s verified total mileage. Overall, this is an exceptionally attractive, rust-free, beautifully restored Malibu Convertible that runs, drives, and handles very well.
